1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating a workspace, signing in, or otherwise using Simple Lobby (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The service

Simple Lobby lets you create check-in events, share a check-in link with your guests, and track arrivals on a live dashboard. The Service is currently offered free of charge. We may add, change, or remove features at any time, and we may introduce paid plans in the future with notice.

3. Accounts and workspaces

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide when registering.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorization.
  • Each workspace is controlled by the account that created it. Anyone with those credentials can view and manage that workspace's events and check-in records.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Break any applicable law or regulation, including data protection and privacy laws.
  • Collect sensitive personal information (for example health, financial, or government identification details) through check-in forms without a lawful basis and appropriate safeguards.
  • Send unsolicited messages, or share check-in links in a way that misleads guests about who is collecting their information.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other workspaces, or related systems, or to disrupt or overload the Service.
  • Reverse engineer, resell, or white-label the Service without our written permission.

5. Guest data and privacy

When your guests check in, the information they submit is stored so you can view it on your dashboard. You are the controller of that information; we process it on your behalf in order to provide the Service.

  • You are responsible for telling your guests what you collect and why, and for having a lawful basis to collect it.
  • Only collect what you actually need for check-in. Custom form fields you configure are shown to every guest who opens your check-in link.
  • Check-in records are retained for a limited period and are automatically deleted after that period. You can also clear an event's records at any time using Reset Data, or delete the event entirely.
  • A check-in link is unguessable but not authenticated — anyone who has the link can submit a check-in. Do not use check-in forms to collect confidential information.

6. Availability and support

We aim to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be unavailable during maintenance, or because of factors outside our control. Support is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You use the Service at your own risk.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Simple Lobby and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to a workspace that breaches these terms, that is used unlawfully, or that puts the Service or other users at risk. Where practical we will give notice first. On termination, your events and check-in records may be deleted.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use the Service after the change takes effect means you accept the revised terms.

11. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to the workspace owner's registered contact address on file, or to the support address published on our website.
