Every visitor welcomed, without the clipboard

Share one link. Visitors check themselves in from the phone already in their hand, and your front desk watches the queue update live. No hardware to buy, nothing for guests to install.

What you get

Built for the desk people walk up to

Reception areas, waiting rooms, clinics, registration tables — anywhere a queue forms.

Self-service check-in

Set the form up once, then let visitors check themselves in.

One link per eventEvery event gets its own check-in link. Print it, text it, or turn it into a QR code — it opens in any browser.
Made for phonesLarge touch targets and a single-screen form, so a visitor is done in seconds while standing at the desk.
Ready for the next guestAfter each check-in the form clears itself, so a shared tablet is always waiting on a blank form.

A live view for your team

Watch visitors move from waiting to welcomed as it happens.

Waiting and completed, side by sideA live connection pushes each new check-in straight to the screen — no refreshing, no waiting.
Sized for the roomDrag the split, zoom to 175% for a wall display, and flow cards down the column or across it.
Find anyone instantlySearch matches every detail a visitor submitted, and the queue sorts by arrival time or by name.
Called out loudMarking someone done announces them aloud, twice — no PA system, no shouting across the lobby.

Yours to run

The day-to-day controls a front desk actually needs.

Add someone by handA visitor without a phone still gets in the queue — staff can add them from Settings.
Session historyEvery check-in session is logged with its start, end, duration, and visitor count.
PIN lock on the deviceResetting or deleting an event asks for a PIN first, so a shared tablet left signed in stays safe.
Start over any timeReset an event to clear its check-ins, close it when the day ends, or delete it outright.

Questions

Before you start

The things people ask us first.

Do visitors need to install anything?

No. A visitor opens your check-in link in whatever browser they already have — their own phone, or a tablet you leave at the desk — fills in the form, and they are checked in. There is nothing to download and no account for them to create.

How many people can check in?

As many as you like. There is no cap on check-ins within an event on the free plan.

Can I run more than one event at once?

Not yet. The free plan keeps one event active at a time — close the current one and the next can start. Running several at once is part of the paid plan being finished now.

Can I change what the check-in form asks for?

Today every visitor is identified by a single field that you name yourself. Custom fields — short text, numbers, dropdowns, checkboxes, and a chosen primary field — are part of the paid plan and are not available on the free plan yet.

How long is check-in data kept?

Check-in records expire automatically and are removed after 90 days. Resetting an event clears its records immediately.

How does the spoken announcement work?

When someone at the desk marks a waiting visitor as done, Simple Lobby reads that visitor out loud, twice, using the browser's own speech. No PA system and nothing to configure.

Is the check-in link private?

The link contains a long, unguessable event id, but it is not password-protected — anyone who has it can open the check-in form. Share it only with the people you want checking in. The controls that reset or delete an event sit behind your sign-in and your PIN.

Does it work on a tablet at the front desk?

Yes — that is what it is built for. The check-in form is sized for touch and clears itself between visitors, and the live view resizes and zooms so it reads from across the room or on a wall-mounted screen.

Smart check-in. Warm welcome.

Set up your first check-in event in about a minute, and see your queue live from the very first visitor.
